Services for seniors in Manitoba are broad-ranging, including health, housing, recreation, learning and entertainment.
While many of the services are supported or operated by the provincial government, others are operated by hundreds of not-for-profit groups in small communities and major towns and cities in the province. For instance, Winnipeg publishes a seasonal leisure guide that lists training courses, special interest classes and recreation opportunities like dance, swimming, exercise and handyman lessons. Rural community centres, like Arborg or Gimli, provide ongoing activities for all ages.
Below, we list the contact information for many of these resources.
