Carberry: King Spud Lives Here

The Heart of Canada: Connecting North, East and West

Camp Hughes, in WW1, was the province’s largest non-city city, with over 38,000 troops training here for the Vimy Ridge battle. Carberry, sitting on the edge of Spruce Woods, is an idyllic town wth a beautifully preserved 20th century downtown commercial district. It is home to King Spud, a monument to the regions vast potato-growing district serving Simplot and McCain Foods.
