Anola – Life in Manitoba

Even with a population of under 250 people, Anola, located on Highway 115 about 25 kilometers east of Winnipeg, still has a couple of restaurants, two service stations, a hotel & bar and a small grocery. It is surrounded by primary bush land and grain fields. Although it is quite close to Winnipeg, it has not experienced the rush of outmigration to bedroom communities that nearby places like Steinbach, Lorette , Oak Bank and even Dugald have seen, making it an ideal, pastoral place to live. Still. there are new housing developments emerging in this very affordable community.
